It’s important to make a good first impression when going to job interviews. After all its human nature that people tend to form an opinion of someone within the first few seconds of meeting. Employers are no different, that’s why how you dress is critical.
As a general rule, the following techniques will ensure you always present well and look
professional:
For men
- Wear a suit that comprises a shirt, tie, jacket and trousers. Avoid casual clothes such as jeans or t-shirts.
- Ensure your shoes are polished and closed-toed. Avoid sandals and trainers.
- Your hair should be neat, tidy and off your face.
- Accessories should be kept to a minimum – avoid jewellery and ear-rings.
- Avoid using any over-powering colognes or deodorants.

For women
